PROJECT #13 - St Georges Mill

The St Georges Mill project was a project to regenerate an old textile mill in the heart of Leicester's cultural quarter. This encompassed creating 94 luxury apartments varying in size from one bedroom small apartments to 2 and 3 bedroom penthouse apartment maisonettes.

The St Georges Mill apartments were all designed with the support of Sir Terence Conran and kept the character of the old building by mixing old features with new to create a beautiful and interesting set of apartments set over four floors.

Although the first phase of apartments were completed early on it was not until around 2009 that the larger penthouse apartments were completed. The total cost of the project finished around £8 million and was carried out by the St Georges Mill owners, Stonehurst Estates.

The apartments include on site secure covered parking, communal bins and recycling depot and on site reception. The secure parking includes automatic electric gates and ground level and underground parking with a parking bay designated for each apartment.

Stonehurst Estates is a London based developer who has completed many high profile projects in London, other large UK cities and even in Barbados.

St Georges Mill, in my view, was a big success and the apartments delivered are of high quality and encompass a cross section of society within the differing apartment types. In fact there are some high profile people who enjoy the penthouse apartments found on the 4th floor.

THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN COMPLETED.
